“I had the law degree before I ever had a microphone.”
Ten years in broadcasting taught me how to take something complicated and make it clear to someone who actually needs to understand it. That is most of what this job is. You will know what your case is worth, what it will take, and what happens next — in plain English, from me.
01Working with Drew
You have been hurt, you are getting mail from an insurance company you did not choose, and someone has probably already asked you to sign something. What you need first is not a lawsuit. It is somebody who will tell you plainly what you are looking at.
So the first conversation is free, and there is no obligation attached to it. You tell me what happened. I ask the questions that actually matter — when it happened, who has treated you, what the other side has said to you so far. Then I tell you straight whether you have a case worth bringing. Sometimes the answer is no. You will hear that from me too, and you will hear it in the first week rather than the sixth month.
I handle serious injury cases across Houston. Whatever happened to you, the first call works the same way.
On the fee: you pay nothing up front, and no attorney’s fee at all unless I recover money for you. My fee is a percentage of that recovery, and you will have it in writing before any work begins.
Attorney’s fees are contingent upon recovery. If we do not recover for you, you owe nothing — no fee and no case expenses. Drew will review the full fee agreement with you before you sign anything.
Practice Areas
Different facts, different insurers, different deadlines — but the same job every time: figure out what actually happened, prove it, and make the people responsible pay for it.

02About Drew Shirley
I finished at the University of Texas School of Law and was licensed to practice in Texas in 1996. Then I spent the next ten years in sportscasting. That is not a career path anybody plans, and it is not one I would trade.
Broadcasting is a job about compression. You get ninety seconds to take something complicated and make it clear to somebody who was not watching. Do it badly and you lose them. That skill transfers almost exactly to representing injured people in Houston.
Because that is the actual work. Explaining to a client what their case is worth. Explaining to an adjuster why their number is wrong. Explaining to twelve people in a jury box what happened to someone they have never met.
“I’m Drew Shirley. Let’s go to the tape.”
Client Reviews
Different wrecks, different years, people who have never met each other. Almost every one of them mentions the same thing — not the outcome, but the fact that they always knew what was happening. The outcomes themselves are on my case results page.

From the beginning, Drew explained the entire process to me and it went exactly as he predicted. He always kept us updated and looked out for our best interest. Always gave us his advice while letting us make the decision.

Reviews reflect the experience of individual clients. Every case is different, and prior results do not guarantee or predict a similar outcome in any other matter.
03Get Started
The first conversation costs nothing and commits you to nothing. Call me, or send the form and I will get back to you — usually the same day.
One thing worth knowing before you wait: in most Texas injury cases you have two years from the date you were hurt to file suit. That sounds like plenty. It is not. Evidence disappears, vehicles get repaired, witnesses move, and the other side’s insurer started working your case the day it happened. Clock’s running.
Contacting Drew Shirley Law does not create an attorney-client relationship. Please do not send confidential information until an attorney-client relationship has been established in writing.
